1.jim Corbett National Park, Uttarakhand
It is one of the oldest National Park in India. It was established in the year 1936. Located at the Nainital and Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand, India. It was first renamed in the year 1954 as Ram Ganga National park, then in the year 1955-1956 renamed as Corbett National Park in the honor of wildlife naturalist Jim Corbett. In the year 1974, it was made a part of the project tiger in India. Famous for Royal Bengal Tiger. It is also famous for tiger leopard langurs. It is Stretched with a total area of 520.8 Km2.
2.Sundarban National Park, West Bengal
The Sundarban National Park is a part of Sundarban deltas in the total area of 10000 km dividing two countries India and Bandh Bangladesh. The two main rivers of this delta are Ganga and Brahmaputra. The Sundarban National Perk is located in West Bengal, India. The Park was established on 4th May 1984 earlier it was created as a Wildlife sanctuary in the year 1977. The total area of the park is 1365kms. This park is named Sundarban because of Sundari trees present in an ample amount. The main attraction of this park is the Royal Bengal Tiger. Other chief species of this park are leopard cat Ridley sea fox flying fox turtle chital.
3. Jawai Bandh Leopard Conservation Reserve, Pali Rajasthan
This Kawai Bandh was established on 23 Feb 2010 by the government of India. It is located in the Pali district of Rajasthan. The jawai Bandh is famous for leopard. Apart from leopard jawai Bandh is home to Sloth Bear Wolves Chinkara.Jawai Bandh is a beautiful example of natural habitat it includes hills and jawai dam, one of the largest dams in western Rajasthan.
4.Kaziranga National Park, Assam
Kaziranga was designated as the first Kaziranga reserve forest in the year. In the year 1916, Kaziranga was renamed as Kaziranga Game Sanctuary and remained till 1938.In the year 1954, Kaziranga was given the name of Wildlife Sanctuary.Kaziranga is famous for rhinoceros. In the year 1968 Assam Government passed an Assam National Park act. In the year 1974 Kaziranga was recognized by the Central Government.In the year 1985 UNESCO declared Kaziranga as a World Heritage site for its natural environment. The park is famous for the great one-horned rhinoceros. The other chief species of this park are elephant tiger wild water buffalo swamp dear. The total area of this park is 430 km.
5. Ranthambore National Park, Rajasthan
Ranthambore National Park is situated in the Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan. It was first established as a game sanctuary in the year 1955. In the year 1973, it became a part of the project tiger. It was designated as National park in the year 1980.In the year 1984 Sawai man Singh and Kalbadevi sanctuary. Ranthambore lies between the two rivers Beas and Chenab. Ranthambore has one of the largest banyan trees in the world. Ranthambore is famous for its Royal Bengal tiger. other species in this National park are Indian leopard wild bear sambar. Earlier it includes only 243 km but when the adjacent sanctuaries added to it, the total area in the present-day is 1334 km.
6.Kanha National Park
Kanha National park is also known as Kanha - kids' national park. It is located in the Mandla and Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh.it was first established as a Wildlife sanctuary in the year 1933. In the year 1955 Kanha was renamed as Kanha game sanctuary. It was made the part of the tiger reserve in the year 1974. It covers a total area of 940 km. The Kanha park hosts Indian leopard sloth bear Barasingha. It was officially one of the first national parks to introduce a mascot, Barasingha. The forest depicted in the jungle book is a part of this reserve and forest.
7.Gir National Park, Gujarat
Gir National park was established in the year 1965. It includes a total area of 1434 km out of which 238 km is a national park and 1153 km is a wildlife sanctuary. It is part of the gir forest. It is located in the talar district of Gujrat. Gir national park is famous for the Asiatic lion. The other species of this park are Indian leopard striped hyena jungle cat golden jackal Bengal fox.
8.Bandipur National park, Karnataka
Bandipur National park was established in the year 1974 as a tiger reserve. It also included as a part of the project tiger. It is located in the chamrajanagar city of Karnataka. It includes a wide variety of flora and fauna.

Royal Bengal tiger is the main attraction of this park. As the name suggests Pench is due to the Pench river that flows from north to south. Pench National park received an award for its best management. The wildlife seen in this park are Chital Sambar Nilgai Indian wolf four-horned antelope barking deer

10.Periyar National park
Periyar National park is located in the Idukki and Pathanamthitta district of Kerala. It was established in the year 1985. It is also designated as an elephant and tiger reserve. With a total area of 952 km. It includes a wide variety of flora and fauna. The most viewed wili is Royal Bengal tiger Asian elephant white tiger wild pig sambar Nilgiri langur. The main river flowing through this park is Periyar and pamba.
Difference between a wildlife sanctuary and National park
A wildlife sanctuary is a place where animals live in the natural habitat without any kind of disturbance. The national park is the area made by the government for the protection of wildlife so that animals live there and use the natural resources.
Wildlife sanctuary aims at protecting specific animal species birds. The national park aims at protecting flora fauna social and cultural heritage of the region.
In Wildlife sanctuary there is no need for official permission. But in the national parks, there is a need for official permission.
The wildlife sanctuary has no border. But the national park has marked border sign.
In wildlife sanctuary, people's movement is not restricted. But in national parks people, entry is restricted.
