National parks are established in order to protect natural habitat and wildlife.it was first established by the Sweden country of Europe in 1908. The reason for this is the illegal hunting of animals this results in the extinction of particular species.so the govt of Sweden decided to establish national parks where no human activities are allowed and this ultimately results in the safety of animal so that they can live and breed

Details of the National park
1.jim Corbett National park
It was one of the oldest national parks in India established with an objective to protect the tiger population.it was established in the year 1936 as Hailey national park. Then in 1970, its name changes to Corbett, and in around in the 1980s it's the name change to Jim Corbett National park, a well-renowned hunter and naturalist Jim Corbett.
Since the tiger population has reduced and as a sign of worry for the govt so the govt started the tiger project and made this park as a national park.
Location: it is located in the capital and Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand.
Famous-Jim Corbett National park is famous for its royal Bengal tiger.
Species- Jim Corbett is famous for tiger elephant crocodile deer leopard langurs.according to a survey done by wildlife experts Jim Corbett is a home to 50 species of mammals 580 bird species 330 species of reptiles 110 species of trees.seven fish species 36 species of dragonflies.
Area: the total area of Jim Corbett National park is about 520.8 km2.
2. Kaziranga National park
It was established in the year 1908. It is famous for rhinoceros.it is opened for visitors in the year around 1974
Location-it is established in the golaghat, Karbi,anglong, Nagaon district of Assam
Famous- it is famous for its great Indian one-horned rhinoceros.
Species- it is a home of tigers elephant panthers bears, thousands of birds

3.gir forest National park
Gir forest is located in the Junagadh district of Gujrat and is famous for Asiatic lion.during the 19 th century prince of Junagadh invited Britishers to hunt the Asiatic lion and as a result of this hunting the population of Asiatic lion reduced.this was an alarming bell and was noticed by viceroy at the time so he advised the prince of Junagadh to stop hunting. In the year 1965 govt of India ban hunting of Asiatic lion and this results in the formation of Gir forest National park

.it was declared a national park in the year 1984. UNESCO declared it as a world heritage site in 1987

Pench National park is located in the sheoni and chhandawada district of Madhya Pradesh. the name Pench is due to the Pench river that flows from north to south dividing into western and eastern halves.it was established in the year 1975. 8.sariska national park
Sariska national park is situated in the Alwar district of Rajasthan.it was first established as a wildlife sanctuary in the year 1955.then in the year 1979 it turned into a national park.it is the only national park which is close to the national capital of India and the capital of the state i.e. Jaipur.

Area- Sariska national park covers a total area of 880 Km2.
9.kanha national park
Kanha National park is also known as Kanha kiski national park.it was created in the year 1933 as a wildlife sanctuary and then in the year 1955 it is designated as a national park and then turned as a tiger reserve in the year 1973. Kanha National consists of wildlife sanctuary namely gallon, Banjar having an area of 250 Km2, and 300 Km2 respectively. this National park is also covered in the jungle book by Rudyard Kipling.it is the largest tiger reserve in central India.
Location-at present it is located in the Mandla and blackhat district of Madhya Pradesh.

Location- it is located in the Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan.it is nearest to Kota and Jaipur.
